For 50 years, United Way of Anchorage, our community partners and you have worked together to improve lives and strengthen our community.
Today, we are working to achieve greater impact. At United Way, we believe the best way to help the most people is to make lasting changes in community conditions that improve lives. A change in conditions at a community level - be it attitudes, behaviors, processes or systems - not only impacts need today but works to reduce the needs of tomorrow. This work is more challenging and requires that we set tangible goals, do more in partnership with others, and measure our results.
Community change that matters does not happen by accident. It begins with a clear picture of where we are today. The Anchorage Community Assessment Project (CAP) provides that snapshot.
